The Apple
iPhone update 3.0 has been announced and now iPhone lovers around the world rejoice. For the longest time, iPhone users have been anticipating the release of, if what were released in numbered order, the iPhone update 2.3; however, Apple announced that the next and dramatically "amped" iPhone firmware update would be the
iPhone update 3.0. This iPhone update will boast a huge platter of great new iPhone applications and firmware features - over 100 supposed additions to the current system. There are so many new additions that we have had a hard time deciding if it is possible to list them all. But, never fear, we have compiled a list of the features included in the
iPhone update 3.0 which will be released this summer in an easy to read list.
iPhone Update 3.0 will include:
- Cut/Copy & Paste between all iPhone applications (including text messaging)
- Turn By Turn GPS Ability (through 3rd party iPhone app)
- Multimedia messaging on steroids (messaging of text, pictures, audio, web clips, web pages, contacts and more)
- Voice Memos
- Spotlight (giving you the ability to search content in you entire phone)
- Notes Sync
- Wi-Fi Auto Login
- Push Notification from applications (really cool. Look it up.)
- Landscape keyboard for email, text, notes and many applications.
- MANY MANY MORE UPDATES NOT LISTED HERE
IPHONE VIDEO RECORDING: The point to this blog post is to pose a very important question: what is REALLY going to be a part of iPhone update 2.3? We have all speculated, and, to be honest, I think that this is all that has taken place this far - speculation. Yes, the possibility of Turn By Turn GPS is tantilizing, and to ponder a COPY/PASTE function is fun, but what is really going to be released in the next iPhone update? Ok, so I have a speculation. There is one thing that people really want, but has not been focused on to much - iPhone video recording capability. This would be a huge improvement on the iPhone. Being able to record video on the iPhone would finally give those iPhone skeptics a true "kick in the @#+". So, who knows? Gives us your opinion.

As we iPhone users have grown to look forward to Apple iPhone updates for the latest technological upgrades,
iPhone update 2.3 has inevitably been the focus of our attention; however, the latest
iPhone update is out, update version 2.2.1, and, as far as updates, it's really the Keauno Reeves of iPhone updates - forgive me if you actually think he can act. You must have suffered a blunt head trauma and should seek medical advice ASAP, but i digress. The latest iPhone update (2.2.1) is mainly a small list of firmware "fixes" and stability retainers. Here's a breakdown of what we get with update 2.2.1:
• Stability "fixes" for Safari - something that is always good, but just not "exciting"
• Resolution of problems when saving images from Mail to Camera Roll - again, good to have, thanks Apple, but just not something to talk about.
The point is that not ALL i
Phone updates are going to be a new and surpassing advancement to the world of technology as we know it - come on! I think that Apple has surpassed being noted for releasing TOP OF THE LINE TECHNOLOGY that leaps and proverbially bounds over its' competition, so give them a break. In the mean time, we'll keep focusing on the iPhone 2.3 update which will be the next BIG release for the iPhone. We're hoping for the "sky" with this one from Copy/Paste functions, which people are CRAZY OVER, me included, to the implementation of Turn by Turn GPS enabled Directions through the native iPhone Maps apps. What do you think will also be included?
Quite a few, or should hundreds, of iPhone update 2.3 rumors are floating around the web right now, and the truth is hard to find. What will the iPhone 2.3 Update include? Well, many resources say that copy/paste functions look good, which would really benefit ANY iPhone user -making the iPhone more like a desktop. Many other resources say that sources have leaked info from around the world that a beta version of this firmware is already out in other countries, and not only does the 2.3 update include copy/paste, it also includes a widescreen keyboard for email AND text, which makes me extremely happy, but also iPhone customizations like themes. Who really knows for sure? If you have any info, please post a comment. We are all dying to know more info.
The rumors surrounding every Apple iPhone update are always viral and overly enthusiastic. but not for unfounded reasons. Each and every Apple update for the iPhone or iPhone 3G has been a huge advancement in the iPhone community. The latest upcoming update, the Apple iPhone 2.3 update is swimming around right now and creating some really cool hype. One of the most exciting new features possible in the iPhone 2.3 update is the implementation of turn by turn directions similar to a typical GPS system. With this new iPhone update people will be able to use the existing iPhone 3G GPS with turn by turn directions - possible audibly. This all speculation right now but a really exciting thought. Turn by turn directions on the Apple iPhone would calm the reservations of a lot of people wanting to purchase an iPhone 3G, but hesitant because of turn by turn GPS enable directions not being available.
What do you guys think?
